Meet Eleanor Terry: Racing Enthusiast and Brand Ambassador

Meet Eleanor Terry, known in the motorsport and online gaming world as "Eleanorsaur." Eleanor's journey from a passionate car enthusiast to a brand ambassador for Project-Mu and Racer Industries is a testament to her dedication to motorsport, love for cars, and drive to push the limits constantly. Her story concerns determination, resilience, and a deep connection to the automotive community.

Eleanor's passion for cars started early, ignited by her love of gaming. At just 16, she got her first car, a VW Beetle, and immediately began modifying it. This marked the beginning of her love affair with car culture and tuning. Soon after, Eleanor moved on to a BMW E30, which she and her partner, Andrew Price, worked on tirelessly, using it in local sprint events. It was in 2016 that Eleanor and Andrew entered their first Time Attack event, and they were instantly hooked.

While their BMW E30 served them well as a track car, its motorsport days came to an unfortunate end at Lakeside Raceway. This setback slowed their racing journey until a new build could be planned.

Then, in 2019, life threw another curveball when COVID-19 hit, shifting their focus to their debt collection business. During this time, Eleanor's social media presence as an online gamer blossomed, building a solid following.

After her daily driver, an Audi A3, was written off in an accident, Eleanor sought a new vehicle that could double as a reliable daily driver and a track day performer. Her search led her to the Hyundai i30N, a car that quickly proved to be a perfect match for her needs. Eleanor participated in local track days, sprint events, and the growing Hyundai N-Festivals as an early adopter of the N range, showcasing her i30N capabilities.

Eleanor's growing presence in the automotive and gaming world caught the attention of Hyundai, and in 2023, she was chosen as an ambassador for their N-Fluencer program. This program highlighted real-world owners and their experiences with Hyundai's enthusiast vehicles. That same year, Project-Mu Australia noticed her rising popularity and decided to back her, forming a partnership that continues to thrive.

In 2022, Eleanor upgraded to a current Hyundai i20N and entered her second World Time Attack Challenge (WTAC). Competing in the Clubsprint class, Eleanor's i20N has become a track-focused machine, continually evolving with the help of companies like Cherry Tuning, Shock Works, and GT Collective. Her dedication to perfecting her car is unwavering, and she credits the outstanding support she's received from her partners, including Project Mu.

As she prepares for the 2024 WTAC, Eleanor's goal is clear: to break into the one-minute 45-second range at Sydney Motorsport Park. After setting a personal best of 1:47.2 last year, Eleanor has her sights set on improvement and is determined to reach that goal. "If I can hit that 1:45 mark, you'll see me celebrating like crazy," she says with a smile.

Working with Project Mu has been a dream come true for Eleanor. She praises the brand not only for its performance but also for its impeccable customer service. "Ben and the team at Project Mu are fantastic," she shares. Their support has been incredible, and their knowledge is unmatched. Plus, let's be honest, they have the coolest brand colour!"

As she continues her journey in motorsport, Eleanor Terry remains a fierce competitor, a dedicated ambassador, and an inspiration to enthusiasts everywhere. Her partnership with Project-Mu and Racer Industries is a testament to her commitment to pushing the boundaries of what's possible on the track and off.
